Back during the second millennium I came across a small catalog that
presented itself with a sharp wit (and just a bit of self-deprication), presenting products that I would have chosen for myself -- had I known that I needed them.
Alas, it's all my fault. I did not buy enough stuff to support the effort, and it rested.
I think that the Internet during the third millennium could support
this alien intelligence once again. Maybe in cyberspace, Remo will
provide me with a button to "buy one of everything in my size" or
"subscribe to buy any new items".
I'm back -- watching, hoping

Country life meant viewing a lot of the test pattern. It brings back fond memories of turning the tv off and going outside to play.

| a shared delight In Dec 93 I had a great party at which I wore this shirt - (I have the photo!)so it must have been a sneak release! I have another recent photo Jan 2002 where the shirt is still going strong. In fact I have 5 still left and I have bought at least 10 of the 61 designs over the years. Best thing about these shirts is strong design concepts and they still look good after 9 years of wearing!!

| Testing, testing A mother explained to her daughter what this picture was in a shop one day, the daughter had never seen a test pattern! Gone are the days when the TV forced you to switch off. This t-shirt always makes people smile.

| loss of entropy aaaah yes ~ de test pattern ~ i remember staring at these ~ in fact once upon a time in a place far far away ~ i remember sitting with 'neighbours' simply enjoying 'the snow'! ~ those were the days ~ when late distractions were few ~ and the sound of snow filtering quietly from the b&w was just enough to bathe young lovers in a soft and useful glow ~ but never enough to hide the sound of one's girlfriend's father tromping down the hall ~ in your direction! ~ not so now ~ or so i'm told :)
