2003 ~ Working with Remo on things for the new site has been enjoyable and inspiring. The number of iterations we've gone through is testament to the man's commitment to quality. ;-)
2002 ~ Was introduced to the store in North Bondi and bought three shirts to send overseas for xmas presents. This general store site is one of the best uses for the internet I've come across. Proud to be a brand spanking new custOMER.

| Royall Bay Rhum This magical liquid has quickly set me on the very arcane and winding path of the wet-shaver. When I first smelt this fragrance on my post-razored skin, I was transported by the siren call of an High Wind in Jamaica... to an exotic, time-free excursion into the spicey.
It's a fragrance which I can't believe it has taken me this long to discover. As a little tacker on the "kiddie supplement seat" at my barber's, I regularly saw a large bottle "Bardsley's Bay Rum" on the counter... an art-deco glass enigma that spoke to the dimension of the grown, shaving man. Now the wheel has come full-circle, and I am back there in middle age - grown and shaving. Except that I'm sure the new, tweaked Royall is a major cut above the Bardsley's Barber-Bulk product.
The downside: Because it's technically an after-shave, it's effect has not been programmed to last long... (this is precisely why the Japanese adore their fleeting Cherry-blossoms,) so I have to carry RBR in my bag,and apply it at every opportunity. Each time I must make a pleasure-scent-dome between my cupped hands and nostril to breathe in as much of it as possible before it vanishes. But not even these stolen moments can beat the massive post-shave tingle.
I can't wait for the Eau de Toilette version, which will last longer, and longer...
It's that good.
